Production
Greenlight Biofuels’ first facility is located in Princess Anne, Maryland. The facility is multi-feedstock with a capacity of 5 million gallons per year (MMGPY), expandable to 8MMGPY. The facility is currently producing biodiesel.
Greenlight’s second production facility is planned for Laurens County, South Carolina. The facility will be multi-feedstock and will have a nameplate capacity of 10 MMGPY.
Distribution
Greenlight Biofuels, Inc. has a strategic off-take partner, Cato Oil (www.catooil.com), for its Princess Anne facility. Cato Oil provides both wholesale distribution at the terminal and retail distribution at stations.
The biodiesel is distributed at the terminal utilizing a cutting edge “injection-blending” technology, which is a significant improvement over the more prevalent method used in the industry, known as “splash” blending. With the splash method, the biodiesel is pumped directly into a tanker truck, which is then filled with petroleum diesel. With the injection method, the blending is done at the rack and insures that customers receive biodiesel of the highest quality and consistency.
Greenlight is currently seeking similar strategic off-take partners for its second facility in Laurens County, South Carolina. If you are an organization engaged in fuel distribution and would be interested in biofuel distribution, please email us at info@glbiofuels.com or call us at (410) 290 3292.
Quality
Greenlight Biofuels produces the highest quality biodiesel available - crystal clear and exceeding ASTM 6751D specification.
